This class is a step by step tutorial in real time. I also offer alternatives to most products. There is a download of pdfs and videos to guide you each step of the way. We will be using acrylics, a gelli plate, some watercolours and most of the supplies you would already have. We will use watercolour ground and some gold leaf. These products you will use again and again. You will also lean how to do a perfect image transfer with your gelliplate and a laser copy of your own image.
The full class will be live from the 16th of November. You can already get started now. There is no deadline for completion.

Materials List
The surface
I have used Crescent watercolour board for this project. I do recommend that you use at least 300 gsm/ 140 Lb watercolour paper. You could also use a mixed media paper. It is always best to stick you paper down on a board with masking tape. Use a lower tack masking tape so it doesn't peel your paper.
You can use either cold pressed ( this is paper that has more texture ) or Hot pressed ( a much smoother paper.
The smoother the paper the easier it is to make the gelli plate imprint.
The Acrylic Paint
Use colours you like, but keep them nice and light. Most acrylics will work for this project.
I use black for the transfer and white, Saw sienna and light blue for the background.
Gelliplate
I have an 8 inch x 12 inch oe 20 x 25 cm Gelli Plate, plus brayer roller for paint. Watercolour Ground
You will need a small tub of transparent watercolour ground. I use the Daniel Smith version.
Watercolours
Any set of watercolours that have a yellow, a red, a dark blue, purple and magenta will do.
Gold leaf
Any cheap gold leave and some of the glue that they sell to go with it. As an alternative you could also use a gold paint marker.
Extra materials
Stabillo All pencil ( alternatives can be Black inktense, or black watercolour pencil )
Signo broad white pen ( alternatives, white gouache, or white acrylic. )
Brushes and tools etc.
You will also need to print out the download art pics for the transfer with a laser printer.
There will be a download on how to create that image. A spray can of artist picture varnish is also very useful.
